SpennyKnit's first gathering

Despite there being only three of us we had a good knit n natter! I made some lovely cakes!

If you are able to, please come to the next meeting on Monday 2nd October. We will be knitting like mad to get everything completed for the Teddies Bears' picnic displays during National knitting week.

First Meeting

The first meeting of Spennyknit will take place on Monday 4th September 2006 from 10am-12pm. Knitters and Crocheters of all abilities are welcome. Come along for a cuppa and a chat and don't forget to bring your latest project!

National Knitting Week 2006

It takes place from 14-21 October 2006. Go to National Knitting Week website for more details.
We have some exciting things planned between our four groups. Our theme is Teddy Bears' Picnic. Members of the groups are busy knitting teddies and picnic food, as well as blanket squares. We plan to have a display of our work at Bishop Auckland KnN on Friday October 20th. The items will then be sold to raise funds for Butterwick Hospice.
